Signature campaign

To mark the initiation of the 100-day campaign under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (NMBA) in Jammu & Kashmir, Government Degree College (GDC) Marheen organized a signature campaign on the theme “Drugs End Dreams Before They Begin” on 08-05-2026. The programme aimed to create awareness among students regarding the harmful effects of substance abuse and to promote a healthy, drug-free lifestyle. The event was conducted under the able guidance and visionary leadership of the respected Principal, Prof. (Dr.) Anupama Gupta, whose inspiring address motivated students to actively participate in this noble social cause. The programme was honoured by the gracious presence of Prof. (Dr.) Pragya Khanna, Principal, GDC Hiranagar, who attended the event as the Guest of Honour and inspired the gathering with her esteemed presence. Faculty members and students gathered, reflecting their collective commitment towards building a healthier, aware, and drug-free society. The signature campaign served as a strong symbol of solidarity and determination in support of the national mission against drug abuse. The programme concluded on a positive and determined note, delivering a strong message of unity, awareness, and collective responsibility. The signature campaign proved to be a significant step in reinforcing the values of discipline, social responsibility, and conscious citizenship among the students of GDC Marheen. Such initiatives play a crucial role in shaping the mindset of young individuals and empowering them to contribute meaningfully towards society and nation-building. The event was efficiently coordinated and managed by Dr. Balbinder Singh, Convener, NMBA. Among the faculty members who graced the occasion were Dr. Arun Dev Singh, Prof. Anoop Sharma, Dr. Munisha Devi, Prof. Manu Saini, Dr. Preeti, Dr. Reemi, Prof. Charan Singh, and Dr. Sonia Saini.
