SHe Box Committee of GDC Marheen was successfully conducted one-day awareness programme on the Sexual Harassment Electronic Box (SHe-Box) awareness with the aim of educating employees and students about the mechanisms for addressing workplace harassment and ensuring a safe institutional environment. The programme focused on creating awareness about the importance of a safe and respectful working environment. The programme was organized under the patronage of Principal of the college Prof. (Dr.) Anupama Gupta. During the session, Dr. Shallu Rani (Member, She Box Committee) and Dr. Preeti Khajuria provided detailed insights into the SHe-Box initiative launched by the Government of India. The speaker explained how the online platform enables women to file complaints related to sexual harassment at the workplace in a confidential and efficient manner. The lecture also highlighted legal provisions under the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013. During the interactive session, participants were guided through the process of registering complaints on the SHe-Box portal, the role of Internal Committees, and the importance of timely reporting. Real-life case discussions and practical demonstrations helped attendees better understand the system and their rights. The program witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members. The initiative aimed to foster awareness, encourage open dialogue, and strengthen the culture of dignity and respect within the campus. Other faculty members presented were Dr. Balbinder Singh, Prof Anoop Sharma, Dr. Munisha Devi, Prof. Manu Saini and Dr. Reemi Verma.
