GDC Marheen organised an awareness lecture on the on the commemoration of 150 years of Vande Mataram and Har Ghar Tiranga Committee. The programme was conducted under the guidance of Principal Prof. (Dr.) Anupama Gupta, whose leadership and encouragement continue to promote patriotic awareness and value-based education among students. The lecture was delivered by Dr. Balbinder Singh, who highlighted the sacrifices, courage and invaluable contributions of the freedom fighters in India’s struggle for independence. Dr. Balbinder Singh also sensitised students about the rich history and enduring significance of “Vande Mataram,” which has completed 100 years of its historic journey. He explained its role in inspiring the freedom movement and its continuing place in India’s national consciousness. The session also appraised students of the current commemoration associated with Vande Mataram and its observance alongside the National Anthem. The lecture provided students with an opportunity to reflect upon the sacrifices of the freedom fighters and the values of patriotism, unity and national pride embodied in India’s freedom struggle.
