Orientation Programme for New-Entrants on “Youth Engagement and Empowerment” organises at GDC Marheen.

 The National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit of Government Degree College (GDC), Marheen, organized an Orientation Programme for New Entrants of NSS Volunteers and the students on the theme “Youth Engagement and Empowerment” on 19 August 2026. The programme aimed to sensitize students about the importance of active youth participation, leadership, social responsibility, and empowerment. On the occasion, Dr. Arun Dev Singh, NSS Programme Officer, delivered an extension lecture on the theme “Youth Engagement and Empowerment.” In his lecture, he highlighted the significant role of young people in nation-building and encouraged students to actively participate in community service and other constructive activities. The programme was organized under the benign supervision of Prof. (Dr.) Anupama Gupta, esteemed, Principal of the College. Near about 50 NSS volunteers and the students attended the lecture with great interest. The event was coordinated and managed by Dr. Arun Dev Singh, NSS Programme Officer, with the support of Dr. Balbinder Singh, Dr. Shallu Rani, and Prof. Manu Saini. The programme was also graced by the presence of faculty members, including,Prof. Anoop Sharma, Prof. Diksha, and Dr. Reemi, whose participation added significance to the occasion. The programme concluded with a renewed commitment to encouraging students to become responsible, empowered, and socially engaged citizens.
