
80th independence day celebration(Saturday, 15-Aug-2026) |
GDC, Marheen, organized, 80th Independence Day in the college. The program commenced with unfurling of the National Tricolor by Prof. (Dr.) Anupama Gupta, Principal of the college, in the presence of the staff and students. It was followed by fervent singing of the National Anthem. Thereafter, the students of the college participated in a mass singing of “Vande Mataram”, filling the campus with a strong sense of patriotism and national pride. Addressing the gathering on the occasion of Independence Day, the Principal of the college extended warm greetings to the faculty members, students, guests, and the entire college community. In her address, she paid heartfelt tribute to the freedom fighters and national leaders whose sacrifices and dedication paved the way for India’s independence. She called upon everyone to work together towards building a peaceful, progressive, inclusive, and prosperous India. On the occasion, students of GDC Marheen actively participated with great enthusiasm. The college building was decorated by students with the flags, lights and flowers. Students celebrated the occasion by singing patriotic songs, dance, reciting poems and expressing their views. Moreover, the college celebrated the occasion by conducting series of activities such as cleanliness drive, painting competition, essay writing competition, National Anthem singing competition, Tiranga rally, Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, activities on the commemoration of 150years of Vande Mataram, the National Song of India and participation in District level Competitions.
The faculty members presented in the occasion were Dr. Arun Dev Singh, Dr. Balbinder Singh, Prof. Anoop Shrama, Dr. Munisha Devi, Dr. Shallu Rani, Prof. Manu Saini, Dr. Reemi Verma, Prof. Diksha Sharma and other non teaching staff were also present on the occasion. All staff members encouraged the students to strive for the best and guided them to give their best in making our motherland to make progress.
