The Department of English came into existence along with the establishment of college GDC Marheen in 2019. The department offers a variety of undergraduate courses in English Language and literature to meet the growing need of the student community. Ever since its inception, the department is striving to facilitate holistic development of the students of this institution. Besides teaching English Language and Literature, the department also aims to improving the communication skills and development of creativity among them by organizing symposia, debates/extempore/essay competitions, and workshops in the college. The department also focuses on inculcating cultural, intellectual, moral, and ethical values by engaging students in a variety of activities such as group discussions, quiz, and presentations.
