GDC Marheen celebrated Republic Day with great fervor and zeal in the campus. The programme was organized under the patronage of Principal of the college Prof. (Dr.) Anupama Gupta. The event commenced with the unfurling of the National Tricolor by the worthy Principal, followed by National Anthem. In her address she spokes on the relevance of the day in the history of India and also highlighted the sacrifices of the great heroes who lost their lives for the country. She also emphasized that we must honor our National Flag and constitution by upholding unity, integrity and sovereignty of the nation. Moreover, she inspired the students to work for the unity and integrity of the nation. 

On the occasion, students of GDC Marheen actively participated with great enthusiasm. The college building was decorated by students with the flags, lights, rangoli and flowers. The faculty members present on the occasion were Prof. Sandeep Chaudhary, Dr. Arun Dev Singh, Dr. Balbinder Singh, Prof. Anoop Sharma, Dr. Munisha, Dr. Shallu, Prof Diksha Sharma, Prof Suman, Dr Meenu Sharma, Prof Naresh Kumar, Prof Naresh Kumari , Prof Saquib and Prof Arpana and other non teaching staff of the college.

The students of the college participated with great enthusiasm and presented cultural items such as patriotic songs, views, dance, poems and Gidda on the occasion. Moreover, the students were honored for their participation in different areas of competitions and their valorous achievements. Vote of thanks were presented by Dr. Shallu Rani.
