Department of Dogri, Hindi, IQAC and Cultural Committee of GDC Marheen celebrated Dogri Manta Din with Inter a College Debate Competition. The programme was organized under the patronage of Principal of the college Prof. (Dr.) Anupama Gupta. The occasion was graced by Chief Guest Padma Shree Sh. Mohan Singh, Guest of Honour Dr. Sushma Rani and Special Guest Sh. Kudeep Kippi. In their address they described the origin, history and importance of Dogri language in our life.

On the occasion, Debate competition was organized in which seven students of different colleges were actively participated. Sonali Tapa of GDC Marheen, Sanjana Sharma of GDC Ghagwal and bagged 1st and 2nd position and 3rd position was taken by two students namely Nikhal Singh of GDC Kathua and Neha Devi of GDC Marheen. Trophies and Certificates were given to all the winners and participants.

The competition was organized under the supervision of Prof. Anoop Sharma (Convener, IQAC), Dr. Shallu Rani (HOD, Department of Dogri) and Dr. Munisha Devi (Convener, Cultural Committee. All the Guests were the Jury members. The proceedings of the programme were presented by Prof. Manu Saini, and Prof. Amitika. Dr. Arun Dev Singh, Dr. Balbinder Singh, Prof. Suman, Prof. Naresh, Prof. Diksha, Prof. Arpana, Prof. Meenu and Prof. Saquib also managed the programme. Formal Welcome Address and Vote of thanks was presented by Prof. Anoop Sharma and Dr. Shallu.
