On 27th of February, 2025, an industrial exposure trip was. organized by GDC Marheen, in which students from the 6th and 4th semesters were flagged off by the worthy principal Prof. (Dr.) Anupama Gupta of the college to visit the RIVAZO ROYAL HOMZ Industrial Complex in Bari Brahmana, Jammu. The objective of the visit was to provide students with practical insight and exposure into the steel production and manufacturing processes. During the visit, students observed critical stages of production, including steel cutting, high-temperature joining at 250°C, rotting, and the application of computer-aided design (CAD) to shape steel components. Further, the students were introduced to the powder coating process, where steel surfaces are coated and subsequently heated to ensure the durability and aesthetic quality of the paint. The students actively engaged in one-on-one interactions with the industrial staff, who offered comprehensive explanations regarding raw materials, the manufacturing cycle, and the final products. The faculty members accompanying the students on the visit included Dr. Balbinder Singh, Dr. Sandeep Choudhary, and Prof. Manu Saini. The trip was managed by Prof Anoop Sharma and Dr Munisha Devi (IQAC, Convener and member respectively) under the able and supreme guidance of the principal Prof. (Dr.) Anupama Gupta. The staff’s cooperation and their thorough responses to every inquiry made a lasting impression on the students, who greatly appreciated the detailed insights provided. The feedback from the students emphasized the significant value of the trip, as it effectively enhanced their academic knowledge by connecting theory with real-world industrial practices.
