Internal Quality Assurance Cell and Women Cell of GDC Marheen organized International Women Day and Alumni Meet for the pass out students of the college to reconnect alumni with their alma mater and serves as a link between their past journey at the college and their bright future as professionals and role models within the society. The event began at 11:00 am with the lighting of traditional lamp followed by the recitation of Sarasvati Vandana in the background by the college students. A formal welcome address was given by Dr. Shallu Rani. The programme was organized under the patronage of Principal of the college Prof. (Dr.) Anupama Gupta. In her address she started her speech by discussing International Women's Day 2025 Theme “Accelerate Actions”. She also made reference of various women who have excelled in various fields. Meanwhile she appreciated their zest to assemble for the meet despite their busy schedule and called for greater participation of alumni for the development of the Institute. She described that it is a perfect platform to meet your peers and teachers and revive the contacts and memories. Moreover, she congratulated and blessed the Alumni for their accomplishments and wished them luck for all the future endeavors.
It was a great interaction between teacher, present students of the college and the students (alumni) for the development of the college where they discussed both the strengths and area of improvements. Students were given feedback about different facilities provided in the college and they also suggest their view regarding the improvement of the college. The cultural performances by the present students intrigued the audience with the display of their talent and creativity. It was come to an end with the conclusion of Alumni meet that they unanimously elected their presidium comprising of Priya Sharma, Pallavi Sharma and Anjali Sharma as their General Sec., President and Vice president. The cultural performances by the present students intrigued the audience with the display of their talent and creativity and items included a folk dance by Tamana and Group, debate by Kanika, Sonali, Sheetal, and Poonam, a Dogri Poem recitation by Monika and Mansi, Dance by Tania and group, a song by Payal and a dance by Neha. The event was managed by Prof. Sandeep Chaudhary, Dr Balbinder Singh, Dr. Munisha, Dr. Shallu, and Prof Manu. The other faculty members who were assisted and present during the program were Prof Diksha, Dr Meenu, Prof Naresh, Prof Naresh Kumari, Prof Saquib and Prof Arpana.
A formal vote of thanks was presented by Prof. Prof. Anoop Sharma, Convener IQAC.
